Following the successful opening of the new Radisson Blu Lyon on the 1st October 2016, the hotel celebrated in style with a spectacular Grand Opening event on 2 February. This event provided the ideal opportunity for the hotel team to showcase the product in all of its glory to their partners and clients, with 500 guests on hand to celebrate and join a show, that will long be remembered.
Strong speeches were given by Thierry Pecorella – hotel GM, Richard Moore – Area Vice President Carlson Rezidor, Fouziya Bouzerda – deputy mayor of Lyon in charge of trade, craft and economic development, and by Gérard Collomb, Mayor of Lyon. All emphasised the quality of the work that has been undertaken in creating this flagship hotel and establishing a leading hotel in Lyon. The mayor declared “there is magic in this hotel”.
Guests were treated to an array of eye-catching entertainment, including a stunning light show, acrobatic performances, music and dance.
The guests then discovered the numerous stands offering state-of-the-art gastronomic creations by MOF – best craftmen of France, and a top quality banquet, supervised by the hotel Chef, Fabrice De Flue.
Guests left late in the evening with the feeling of having had “feet on the ground and head in the stars”
