A New generation of hotels at the crossroads of Europe
Park Inn by Radisson has chosen to open the first hotel with a new look and feel near the Brussels airport, a major crossroads of the European continent. The international brand has more than 140 hotels across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. The hotel is explorer themed, paying homage to the men and women that traveled our world in search of new places and people. The theme also reflects the hotel’s location and Park Inn’s new community-based approach to hospitality. From Magellan to Vasco de Gama, every meeting room is named after famous explorers and every guest room decorated with earth tones to inspire a sense of discovery. The explorer theme is enhanced by the use of dark woods and dark greens. All rooms feature stylish décor, flat-screen TV’s, a safe, tea and coffee facilities, and Free Wireless High-speed Internet.
A Community for explorers on the go
Park Inn by Radisson at Brussels Airport will be the first hotel in Belgium with a live-inn room concept. “Co-living is the next big trend in hospitality: a feeling of community is increasingly important for travelers“, says Tineke de Wit, General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport. “We’re creating a social space that lets guests interact. Hotel guests looking for something lighter can easily grab a snack from the 24-hour Hungry Kiosk: it is just like taking a snack out of the fridge or using the microwave at home. The hotel also offers nine stylish meeting rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual technology and plenty of natural lighting. A hotel that helps sustain our planet
Being environmentally friendly is important to Park Inn by Radisson. Which is why the former office building that is being converted into the Park Inn by Radisson hotel will have solar panels on the roof. To conserve energy, LED lighting will be used throughout the hotel. Park Inn by Radisson has prioritized this down to the smallest details: even the toilets will reuse rainwater to reduce water wastage. Finally, there will be a green rooftop at the entrance of Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport.

Hotel van een nieuwe generatie
Park Inn by Radisson koos ervoor zijn eerste hotel met een nieuwe look & feel te openen vlakbij Brussels Airport, een belangrijk kruispunt binnen Europa. De internationale keten telt meer dan 140 hotels, verspreid over Europa, het Midden-Oosten, Afrika en Noord-Amerika. De inrichting van het nieuwe type hotel is geïnspireerd door het thema van ontdekkingsreizigers, als eerbetoon aan onze voorlopers die de wereld rondreisden op zoek naar nieuwe plaatsen en ontmoetingen. Elke vergaderruimte is genoemd naar bekende ontdekkingsreizigers, van Magellaan tot Vasco da Gama, en elke hotelkamer is ingericht in aardetinten, om het gevoel van ontdekkingsreizen op te wekken. Het thema wordt versterkt door het gebruik van donkere houtsoorten en donkergroene tinten. Alle kamers zijn stijlvol ingericht, met flat-screen TV’s, kluis, thee- en koffiefaciliteiten en gratis snel en draadloos internet.
Een gemeenschap van ontdekkingsreizigers
Het ontdekkingsreizigersthema vormt ook een knipoog naar de ligging van het hotel en de nieuwe manier waarop Park Inn by Radisson gastvrijheid wil benaderen. De nieuwe Park Inn by Radisson wordt immers het eerste hotel in België met een live-inn-room. “Co-living is de nieuwe trend in gastvrijheid. Het community gevoel wordt steeds belangrijker voor reizigers“, zegt Tineke de Wit, General Manager van Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport. “Wij creëren een sociale ruimte waar gasten elkaar kunnen ontmoeten. We willen onze gasten de kans geven elkaar te leren kennen terwijl ze samen iets drinken of een serie bekijken. Hét verschil dat we kunnen maken met de deeleconomie, is het creëren van een gemeenschapsgevoel, een plaats waar mensen die elkaar nog niet kennen een fijn moment samen kunnen doorbrengen. Dat willen we koesteren”, gaat Tineke verder.
Met dezelfde filosofie in het achterhoofd opent het hotel de RGB, een trendy grillrestaurant en bar met een terras voor gasten en locals. “Er zijn niet veel gezellige eetgelegenheden voor mensen die in de buurt van de luchthaven werken. Wij willen hen een lunch aanbieden vol gesofisticeerde en originele gerechten”, zegt Tineke. Hotelgasten die liever iets lichts eten, kunnen voor een snack terecht bij de Hungry Kiosk, die 24 op 24 open is – alsof je thuis een snack uit de koelkast zou halen en opwarmen in de microgolfoven. Het hotel biedt ook negen stijlvolle vergaderruimtes, met de nieuwste audiovisuele technologie, en overvloedig natuurlijk licht. Park Inn by Radisson hoopt bedrijven aan te trekken uit de buurt van de luchthaven en start-ups in en rond Brussel.
Vroeger kantoorgebouw wordt duurzaam hotel
Duurzaamheid is belangrijk voor Park Inn by Radisson. Daarom wordt het vroegere kantoorgebouw dat is omgebouwd tot het Park Inn by Radisson-hotel uitgerust met zonnepanelen op het dak. Om energie te besparen, werd in het hele hotel LED-verlichting geïnstalleerd. Park Inn by Radisson gaat hierin zelfs tot in de kleinste details: voor de toiletten wordt regenwater gebruikt om waterverspilling te beperken. Ten slotte is aan de ingang van Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport ook een groen dak voorzien..

Park Inn by Radisson a choisi d’ouvrir le premier hôtel avec un nouveau « look and feel » à proximité de Brussels Airport, un carrefour majeur du continent européen. La marque internationale possède plus de 140 hôtels en Europe, au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique et en Amérique du Nord. L’hôtel reprend le thème de l’explorateur, rendant hommage aux hommes et aux femmes qui ont parcouru notre monde à la recherche de nouveaux endroits et de nouvelles rencontres. Le thème réfléchit également l’emplacement de l’hôtel et la nouvelle approche communautaire de l’hospitalité de Park Inn. De Magellan à Vasco de Gama, chaque salle de réunion porte le nom d’explorateurs renommés et chaque chambre d’hôte est décorée dans des tons de la terre pour inspirer un sentiment de découverte. Le thème de l’explorateur est accentué par l’utilisation de bois sombres et de verts foncés. Toutes les chambres ont un décor stylisé, un écran de TV plat, un coffre-fort, le nécessaire pour préparer du thé et du café et une connexion Internet sans fil à haut débit gratuite.
Une communauté pour les explorateurs en voyage

Nous voulons leur offrir l’occasion de prendre un lunch sophistiqué et de vivre des expériences savoureuses », dit Tineke. Les hôtes de l’hôtel cherchant un repas plus léger peuvent aisément trouver une collation dans le Hungry Kiosk ouvert 24 h/24 : c’est comme prendre un en-cas dans le frigo et le passer au four à micro-ondes comme à la maison. L’hôtel offre également des salles de réunion pleines de style équipées de la toute dernière technologie audiovisuelle et baignées de lumière naturelle. Park Inn by Radisson espère attirer les entreprises des environs de l’aéroport ainsi que les startups bruxelloises, pour faire de l’hôtel une plateforme pour les personnes qui explorent le futur technologique et commercial.

C’est la raison pour laquelle l’ancien immeuble de bureaux converti en hôtel Park Inn by Radisson aura des panneaux solaires en toiture. Pour préserver l’énergie, nous utiliserons l’éclairage LED dans tout l’hôtel.
