There are many good reasons for your meeting in Mallorca … Mallorca is the largest and most popular Balearic Island and is fast becoming a lifestyle scene of superlatives. Constant investment in improved infrastructure, upgrading of hotels and guest structures and especially the varied landscape and completely opposite regions make Mallorca a year-round destination for all tastes. Olivier Wauters checked out the island and had a chat with Carolina Cordes, General Manager and Nicole Rose, Marketing Manager of the Lindner Golf & Wellness Resort Portals Nous. 

“It is not because we have different types of meeting rooms, but rather the location where we are, here in sunny Mallorca”, Carolina Cordes explains. “The surroundings of the hotel bring you in a different mood to conduct your meetings. You can totally disconnect from your daily business but still be working and to be only focused on your meetings due to the surroundings.”

“Here, we have a perfect infrastructure that you can reach from all around Central Europe within only two hours of flight on the average”, Nicole Rose adds. “Mallorca has 300 days of sunshine, so it’s a year-round destination. Therefore, when you meet here you can have outdoor activities all times of the year. In Northern Europe for instance, you’re limited to only July and August. Here however, you can have great outdoor activities even in December or January. So I think this is the biggest asset Mallorca has.”

Moreover, the location of the Lindner Resort is very much strategic, only ten minutes from the old town of Palma, just five minutes from the luxury marina of Puerto Portals and hardly a fifteen minutes’ drive away from the airport and of course it’s a four star hotel that provides an excellent service and which is open all year round and situated in a rural and quiet area, surrounded by the Royal Bendinat Golf Course.

Sometimes you need more time to drive from Antwerp to Brussels than to fly to Mallorca. Traffic jams on the island are hardly existing. “If we have five during the whole year, it’s a lot. Mainly when it rains and that’s hardly ever”, Carolina Cordes jokes. 

“We have also a wide range of restaurants, local cuisine or Michelin Star restaurants, we have a two-star restaurant here on the island”, Nicole Rose continues. “Lots of cultural events are going on here as well. We are very much international on the island. Wherever you are coming from you’ll easily find international incentive agencies that can help you with activities on the island. They speak your language, know what you want and are very experienced.” 

“Our hotel is a modern and perfectly developed infrastructure that provides the perfect basis for meetings and conferences with a varied selection of supporting programs”, Carolina Cordes further explains. “Thanks to the nice weather we have lots of possibilities for team buildings here. Most activities companies organize here last four or five days. They have their business sessions in the morning and in the afternoon it’s time for team building activities like cycling or golf, hiking or canyoning.”
