Nearly 90 years ago, the Marivaux Hotel was one of the finest cinemas in Brussels … Indeed, in 1924 the Théâtre Marivaux opened as one of the most beautiful theatres of its time in the Belgian capital, which offered a large hall with 1,500 seats in an Art Deco style on both the floor and two balconies. The construction coincided with the development of screening rooms, which was at that time seen as an innovative attraction.
In the nineties, the property was renovated into a hotel, taking advantage of the premises’ strategic location and construction. The former rooms are now used for events at the Hotel Marivaux, making it a unique and perfect place for meetings and conferences.
The two former cinema halls were transformed into seminar and congress rooms including the necessary technical amenities. There is a separate Wi-Fi network to ensure speedy internet connections during meetings with many participants.
Both auditoriums (for a capacity of 115 respectively 90 persons), equipped
with a giant screen, comfortable seats and perfect acoustic are ideal for big meetings.
The hotel has ten meeting rooms as well.
The ‘Hall Marivaux’, the prestigious and classified entrance hall of the former cinema Marivaux, with a surface of 381 m², can host gala or company dinners, cocktails, product launches etc.
Meanwhile, Hotel Marivaux is expanding. The actual number of 96 rooms will be significantly raised to 137, including ‘Club’ rooms, ‘Harmony’ rooms and four suites. The works above the brasserie are currently underway and will be ready by the end of October. More info will follow later!

Hotel Marivaux breidt uit!
Bijna 90 jaar geleden was ‘Hotel Marivaux’ één van de mooiste bioscopen in Brussel … In 1924 opende in de Belgische hoofdstad het ‘Théâtre Marivaux’, toen één van de grootste theaters van zijn tijd, uitgerust met een grote zaal met 1.500 zitplaatsen en ingericht in een Art Deco stijl met een parterre en twee balkons. De bouw viel samen met de ontwikkeling van projectiezalen wat destijds als een innovatieve attractie werd beschouwd. In de jaren negentig werd het pand omgebouwd tot een hotel, profiterend van het schitterende kader en de strategische ligging. De oude zalen van de voormalige bioscoop worden nu gebruikt voor evenementen, waardoor het hotel een unieke en perfecte plek is voor vergaderingen en conferenties.
De twee voormalige bioscoopzalen werden omgebouwd tot seminarie- en congreszalen voorzien van alle nodige technische snufjes. Zo is er een apart wifi-netwerk zodat bij meetings met veel deelnemers het internetdebiet even snel blijft. Beide auditoria (voor een capaciteit van 115 respectievelijk 90 personen), uitgerust met een groot scherm, comfortabele stoelen en een perfecte akoestiek, zijn bijgevolg ideaal voor grote meetings. Verder beschikt het hotel over tien vergaderzalen.
‘Hall Marivaux’, de prestigieuze en geklasseerde hal van de voormalige bioscoop met een oppervlakte van 381 m², biedt ongetwijfeld een meerwaarde voor de organisatie van gala- of bedrijfsdiners, cocktails, productlanceringen, enz.
Hotel Marivaux breidt ondertussen verder uit. Het huidige aantal van 96 kamers wordt aanzienlijk opgetrokken tot 137, incluis ‘Club’ kamers, ‘Harmony’ kamers en vier suites. De werken boven de de brasserie zijn momenteel aan de gang en zullen klaar zijn tegen het einde van oktober. Meer hierover later!
