Geert De Keersmaeker, MICE Sales Manager of the Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel looks back on a full agenda during the IMEX trade fair. “I’ve noticed that there is already a lot of interest for the new Antwerp convention center that will be inaugurated this autumn. That is great news as it is only a 20m walk away from our hotels – the Park Inn by Radisson with 59 rooms and the Radisson Blu Astrid with247 rooms and 18 conference rooms for a maximum of 300 people in classroom style and 500 in theater style. Both hotels can be used for groups.”
Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel has a strategic location and is therefore easily accessible. “Antwerp is evolving into a hub between Amsterdam and Brussels”, Geert De Keersmaeker notices. “Via Thalys train you can reach Paris in two hours, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in 1 hour, with the train it’s only half an hour to Brussels Airport in Zaventem and only five minutes by taxi to Antwerp Airport in Deurne where you have a direct link to London City Airport after a 50 minutes flight.”
Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel is indeed back in top shape for MICE activities. “All meeting rooms on the first floor were renovated last year. Beautiful spaces with lots of light”, the Sales Manager confirms. “Furthermore, there is more exciting news to come from the hotel … so stay tuned!”

Antwerpen wordt een echte hub
Geert De Keersmaeker, Sales Manager MICE van het Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel blikt terug op een goed gevulde agenda tijdens de IMEX-vakbeurs. “Ik heb gemerkt dat er al heel wat interesse is voor het nieuwe congresgebouw dat binnenkort de deuren opent in Antwerpen en zich bovendien op amper 20 meter van ons hotel bevindt. Wij beheren ook het aanpalende Park Inn by Radisson met 59 kamers. Radisson Blu heeft dan weer 247 kamers met een 18-tal vergaderruimtes goed voor zo’n 300 personen in classroom opstelling en 500 personen in theaterstijl. Beide hotels worden door ons vertegenwoordigd en kunnen voor groepen worden gebruikt.”
Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel heeftt een strategische locatie en is bijgevolg goed bereikbaar. “Antwerpen evolueert naar een hub tussen Amsterdam en Brussel”, aldus Geert De Keersmaeker. “In 2 uur spoor je met de Thalys naar Parijs, in 1 uur naar Amsterdam Schiphol, een half uur naar de luchthaven in Brussel en amper vijf minuten per taxi naar de luchthaven in Deurne waar je dan een rechtstreekse verbinding hebt met London City Airport na een vlucht van 50 minuten.”
Radisson Blu Astrid Antwerp Hotel is trouwens opnieuw in topvorm voor MICE-activiteiten. “Alle vergaderruimtes op de eerste verdieping werden vorig jaar nog gerenoveerd. Mooie ruimtes met heel veel licht”, aldus de Sales Manager. “Bovendien staat er nog iets op til in het hotel, maar daarover later meer!”
