The annual networking workshops of the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau based in Brussels has become a yearly tradition, on the Meetings & Incentives Calendar of the Belgian capital. The two-day event took place on 14 and 15 October at 6 pm at Bluepoint Brussels.

Olivier Wauters, Executive Director Eventonline, was present and had a chat with Myriam Winnepenninckx, representative of the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau.

“The Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau represents all Swiss destinations and promotes Switzerland in terms of meetings, congresses and incentives. Every year we organize networking moments for our customers to promote Switzerland,” she explained.

On the first day of the event incentive agencies and PCO’s were invited and the next day, on October 15th, the organizers of meetings, seminars and conventions in international corporations and associations were targeted. Participants were invited to join all the partners present to discover the many possibilities for meetings and events in Switzerland. 13 Swiss partners introduced their outstanding venues for meetings or incentives and also proposed ideas for original and motivating activities.

Switzerland is one of the world’s leading countries of innovation and cutting-edge technology. As a result, the MICE industry benefits from these advances in technology, both for organizers and suppliers. All advantages that make a winning combination for all guests! Being one of the most environmentally sustainable countries in the world with mighty mountains, dark gorges, deep-green forests, picturesque lakes, rushing waterfalls, mystical moors, Switzerland is the place to be for teams to spend quality time, disconnect to connect, unplug to unwind, and tune-out to tune in.

Keynote speaker and animator of the event was Tom Meyers, an osteopath with more than 15 years of experience working with people suffering from psychosocial stress and technostress. This has led him to develop the innovative body-mind and educational ‘Reaset Approach’. During his presentation, Tom Meyers focused on the challenges that new technologies such as AI, AR, VR, robotics, IoT and space tourism represent for body, mind and spirit. Through his ‘Futurize Yourself’ concept, he shared some relevant and purposeful insights on the future of the human race.
