Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is the largest meeting and event industry association worldwide. Founded in 1972, MPI provides innovative and relevant education, networking opportunities and business exchanges, and acts as a prominent voice for the promotion and growth of the industry.
MPI has a global community of 60,000 meeting and event professionals including more than 17,000 engaged members and its Plan Your Meetings audience. It has More than 70 chapters and clubs in 75 countries worldwide.
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Belgian Chapter operates since 1995 and is run by volunteers and its members to address the needs of the industry by providing educational and networking opportunities online and offline. Since 1995, MPI Belgium Chapter has been a key part of the meetings and events industry in Europe.
After a successful 2018-2020 term by Elina Jutelyte as Past President of the Chapter, Katinka Mészáros was elected as the next President of MPI Belgium Chapter. Katinka is an independent event organiser specialised in diplomatic protocol and VIP management and provides advisory services to event organisers to integrate protocol in the event planning.
Katinka Mészáros, upcoming President of MPI Belgium noted “I am honoured to have been elected as upcoming president and delighted to take this opportunity to lead the MPI Belgium Chapter in the next term. The aim of the newly elected Board is to strengthen collaboration with other event industry associations in Belgium and to engage with industry stakeholders and our members through industry research, marketplace and educational programmes.”
Elina Jutelyte, Past President of MPI Belgium, commented “The MPI Chapter in Belgium has gained significant visibility on the market, in Belgium and beyond, thanks to the efforts of the volunteers and board members.
