Brasserie Appelmans – Luxury brasserie in Antwerp

HOTSPOT lunch or dinner in the city centre of Antwerp

Brasserie Appelmans: a location not to be missed in the beautiful city centre of Antwerp! The brasserie took its name from the master builder of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe Cathedral in Antwerp. Appelmans can look back on a very honourable past since the premises were already mentioned in manuscripts from the 13th century. The current premises were built around 1900. Extensive restorations resulted in a beautiful, modern and accessible brasserie, a place where you can feel at home: Brasserie Appelmans & Absinthbar..

Brasserie Appelmans serves a Belgian quality kitchen with value for money. Our chef and leader of the kitchen brigade is Ron Diephout. Ron has put together a wonderful menu with an excellent balance between real, classical Belgian dishes and modern variations. Additionally the bar, or rather the Absinthbar, was created to be a true Cosmopolitan music- and cocktailbar. “One place, two bars”: On the second floor, just above the Absinthbar you will find the ‘Private Bar’, a cosy bar where you can enjoy your cocktail in a more intimate atmosphere..

Our beverage menu contains a huge range of spirits, cocktails and of course a nice selection of the “dangerous” Absinthe.
