The event venue Wild Gallery welcomed the Facility Awards by IFMA, the International Facility Management Association. This event is the occasion each year to reward the Facility Manager of the Year and the Facility Management Project of the Year. This year, the event had for goal to reward on of the six innovative projects chosen by the professional panel.

The theme of the night was magic. Indeed, the facility managers are responsible for all support services in a company, from the maintenance to the security of the building. Their coordination has to be at the top and they have to be able to work on different elements at the same time, just like magicians. The Wild Gallery welcomed its 350 guests in a magical atmosphere.

The event organised by IFMA kicked off in the afternoon with a presentation of the different projects. BNP Paribas Fortis, Brussels Airport, Corda Campus, Engie Fabricom, KBC and UZ Brussel each presented their work. Then, the assembly enjoyed a reception in another hall of the Wild Gallery, in the company of two illusionists.

During the ceremony, Brussels Airport won the award of the panel for its project of reorganisation and its crisis management perfectly handled after the attacks of Zaventem March 22nd of 2016. The award from the public was decided partly before the event via a vote on the website of IFMA and then during the ceremony via an online vote. The laureate of this category is UZ Brussel with its Smart Grid Brussels Health Campus.

After a rapturous applause, the guests headed towards the banquet hall. Magicians went from tables to tables to awe our guests with their magic tricks. The desserts buffet was installed in another hall. The guests enjoy this moment of networking in a light atmosphere. The commercial partners of IFMA were also present for this event. An area had been converted for each one of them in the reception hall. IFMA highlighted ISS, Nestlé Professional, Securitas, ASSA ABLOY and Freestone Group. Compass Group, another major partner for IFMA, was in charge of the catering for the event. The Wild Gallery has no mandatory caterer so IFMA took the opportunity to collaborate with its own partner.
According to Mieke Loncke, IFMA director, the Wild Gallery was ideal thanks to its modularity and its multiples halls. Each section of the event had been organised in each unit of the venue.

Dit evenement bekroont elk jaar afwisselend de Facility Manager of the Year en het Facility Management Project of the Year.

Cet événement récompense chaque année en alternance le Facility Manager of the Year et le Facility Management Project of the Year.
