The Ark – Multi-purpose Great Hall
Directly across from the imposing Antwerp fire station stands a pump house, originally built to drain the water from dry dock 7, and now converted into a classy restaurant. On the spot where the dry dock used to be, the Ark is now moored.
This prestigious floating theatre hall, opened in 1993 on the occasion of Antwerp’s tenure as European Capital of Culture, was transformed into a multi-purpose event hall.
With a total surface of 800 m², it can host receptions, seminars, congresses, product presentations, fashion shows, staff parties, etc. for groups both small and large. It is also an original venue for an unforgettable wedding party.
The Ark can accommodate buffets for between 100 and 450 people and dinners for between 100 to 250 people, depending on the lay-out you choose.
As you board the Ark, you enter a roomy entrance hall, and then to your left you enter the Glass Tower building, with a lovely terrace on the first floor with a unique view of the port. If you go to the right from the entrance hall, you reach the spacious multi-purpose Great Hall, spread over several levels. Holding your party on board the Ark lends your event that little bit extra.
